Who Am I?
When something comes so naturally; doesn't it start to feel like a part of you? That's how I feel about art. Art is simple to me, yet many people think it is something beyond their reach. I want to bring art to everyone; which starts with our children.
In our "Emperor's New Clothes" Age of art, it is an elite taste that is "lost" on the everyday man. It is ridiculous that so many people are shut out from a form of expression that has been around since the dawn of humanity. Wouldn't the world be better if art included everyone? There is no entry fee and that's what I want to share with my life.
I am an artist who creates to teach. My purpose is to intrigue viewers through bold and unique compositions. It should inspire the contemplation of interactions between materials and concepts.
Currently, I am a sophomore at Converse University working toward a double major in Art Education and Art History. My plan after college is to use my Bachelor of Arts to become a middle school art teacher. I have a passion for teaching and inspiring creativity in others. One day I look forward to helping students find their lifelong passions.
My current body of work deals with feminine subjects and portrays the essence of a person with unique media.
I have won Best In Sculpture at The Art Society Juried Art Show in Spring of 2023 and has been featured in The Purposeful Mayo Journal.
